YASSI MAZANDI

During the Rauschenberg Residency on Captiva Island in December 2012, some existing technique-related experiments evolved into a body of work which Mazandi dubbed "sculptographs" as they incorporate a blending of traditional sculptures with several stages of advanced imaging work. (That work is for ongoing projects aimed at producing large-scale sculptures, in part based on 3D scans of her hand-thrown flowers).
